International Offices

International Initiatives (II) is the central hub for fostering global engagement and supporting international activities across the University of Texas at Dallas. Its role is crucial for creating a vibrant and welcoming international environment for students, faculty, and staff, while also promoting the university’s presence on the global stage.

Developing International Partnerships

Identifying, establishing, and nurturing partnerships with foreign institutions, governments, and organizations. This includes negotiating agreements such as Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) for student exchange programs, faculty research collaborations, and joint degree programs.

Promoting Global Engagement

Championing the university’s global endeavors and initiatives, such as enhancing international student enrollment, expanding academic offerings, and strengthening faculty research internationally.

International Visits and Protocol

Organizing and supporting visits from foreign dignitaries and university officials, ensuring proper protocol and facilitating productive engagements.

Ensuring Compliances

Ensuring that all international activities adhere to university policies as well as relevant national and international laws and regulations.

Program Development and Management

Assisting the Office of International Education and other UTD schools with the development coordination, and promotion of various study abroad and exchange programs, such as the Erasmus+ program. This includes support with marketing activities, faculty leaders engagement, managing applications, and overseeing budgets.

Providing Resources and Information

Serving as a valuable resource for disseminating information on scholarships, grants, exchange programs, and other international opportunities.

Networking and Outreach

Building and maintaining relationships with UTD alumni, partner institutions, government agencies, and embassies to advance the university’s internationalization strategy.

Promotional Activities

Working with other campus units to promote the university’s international programs and achievements to external audiences.
